Join U-LEAD Training Programme “Steps for Specialists. Budget Regulations”.
What is it?
It is an opportunity to understand the structure and content of budget regulations and to establish clear rules for interaction between all participants of the budget process, taking into account the specific needs of each municipality.
Benefits for the participants:
As part of the Training Programme the Participants will
- learn about the role and purpose of budget regulations as a tool for control and guidance in achieving strategic goals of municipalities, particularly in public investment management;
- gain a clear understanding of the powers and responsibilities of budget process participants at all stages;
- develop skills in drafting the textual part of budget regulations and related annexes;
- master the ability to identify local budget process specifics, including through a gender-responsive approach;
- understand the advantages of active public participation in the budget process;
- build connections and strengthen cooperation with colleagues from different regions of Ukraine.
When?
The programme will last four weeks, starting from 10 March 2026. All activities will be online and are free of charge for participants.
Who can participate?
A total of 72 selected participants — one representative from each municipality with a population of up to 50,000 residents, located outside temporarily occupied territories.
The programme is open to officials of local financial authorities who have the necessary technical equipment (microphone, camera) to join online sessions.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive certificates.
