We invite you to join the Training Programme “Building a Supportive Business Environment in a Municipality” and, together with U-LEAD experts, explore how to systematically develop business environment at the local level.
What is it?
This Training Programme offers an opportunity to gain practical knowledge and tools for building supportive business environment tailored to the specific needs of your municipality.
Benefits for the participants
As part of the Training Programme, the participants will:
- learn to identify challenges and opportunities for business environment development based on data and feedback from businesses;
- become familiar with core tools for improving business environment and approaches and adapting them to local contexts;
- develop skills in planning and implementing business support activities;
- understand how to integrate business environment development into municipal management processes;
- establish professional connections with peers from across Ukraine.
When?
The Training Programme will run from 9 June to 14 July 2026 and will include online seminars and training sessions. Participation is free of charge.
Who can participate?
Officials of local self-government bodies (municipalities) are invited to participate — one representative per municipality with a population of up to 50,000 residents. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in the economic field, focus on cooperation with businesses will be an asset.
The total number of participants in the Training Programme will be 48 individuals (one representative from each municipality).
Candidate Requirements:
- Basic knowledge in the field of local economic development and readiness to implement changes within the municipality;
- Technical capacity to participate in online activities (mandatory access to a microphone and camera).
Important: Participation in programmes focused on business environment development implemented in 2024–2025 constitutes grounds for restriction from participation in this Training Programme.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will receive certificates.
